Ratio Publica is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original scholarly texts, especially in legal and political philosophy, legal ethics, legal theory and constitutional law.
All texts published in the journal undergo a double-blind peer review, in which they are evaluated in terms of their topic, scientific and methodological background, structure, linguistic and stylistic components. The journal is indexed in Scopus and ERIH PLUS databases.
The journal is published twice a year in both print and electronic formats and follows an open access approach (CC BY 4.0). By sending the article draft, authors provide an exclusive license not limited by place, time and quantity for publishing their work in the language version in which they submitted it.
We accept papers all the time. However, the editorial deadline is 28 February for the summer issue and 31 August for the winter issue.

Please send the texts in electronic form in .doc or .docx formats to the email address redakce@ratiopublica.cz.
The text must be written in Czech, Slovak or English. The author sends the full and anonymized version to the editor. The text always includes an abstract, keywords in English and the language of the manuscript, and in the non-anonymized version also the author's name and affiliation, as well as an email contact.
For citations and formal editing of the text, please follow the citation manual of OSCOLA. More detailed information on the publication process can be found in the Publication Rules document.
There are no fees associated with manuscript processing and/or publishing materials in the journal.
The journal is based on a high level of publication ethics and the accuracy of the information published in it, thus guaranteeing the high academic quality of its texts. Only those that adhere to the Principles of Publication Ethics and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) may be published in the journal. Their accuracy and the ethicality of the authors' practices are checked not only by the editors but also by the reviewers.
For cases in which a manuscript is published that contains non-negligible factual errors or is in gross violation of publication ethics, the journal and the author are obliged to publish corrections, explanations and apologies.
The editors accept objections to factual accuracy and unethicality of published works at redakce@ratiopublica.cz.
